    1. The housing should not be installed near a well pump
    2. The whole house system has 3/4-inch inlet/outlets for easy installation on the 3/4-inch main cold water line (if you have a 1/2-inch water line, you can use a reducer nipple to reduce the inlet/outlet down to the 1/2-inch size)
    3. If water is leaking around the red pressure relief valve, it means that the o-ring in the cap assembly needs lubrication
    4. Lubricating O-Ring with silicone grease will keep it from kinking when the lever is operated, and it will also swell to keep the seal tight
    5. To lubricate O-Ring, remove the screw from the on/off lever and remove the lever
    6. Under the lever is a metal plate with four screws, remove screws and then plate
    7. Remove the white plastic valve stem (it comes straight up and out)
    8. Under the stem is a 3/4-inch diameter black O-Ring, lubricate thoroughly with some silicone grease
    9. There is a 2nd o-ring on the underside of the HF-360 cap that would also be beneficial to lubricate at the same time
    10. The on/off valve operates a white plastic plunger, and at the end of that plunger is a 1/4-inch black o-ring that may need some lubrication also (this o-ring cannot be removed)

    The Culligan HF-360B (formerly known as the HF-360 or HF-360A Water Filter System) is ideal for residential, commercial, and industrial water filter applications. If installed before appliances with a sediment filter, the Culligan HF-360B water filter housings extend the life of washing machines, water heaters, and other household appliances by reducing sediment before it reaches the appliances. The Culligan HF-360B whole house housings have thick walls for increased strength. The Culligan HF-360B Valve-in-Head involves a simple half-turn of the shut-off valve in the cap to shut off the water supply when changing a water filter. No need to purchase additional shut-off valves (saves money). The Culligan HF-360B water filter system's pressure release button on the cap allows for the release of the whole house water filter pressure in order to more easily unscrew the sump from the cap. Leaking and clogging are prevented by the dynamically sealing, self-cleaning o-ring. Two Culligan HF-360B water filter housings can be connected with a pipe nipple or pipe union. The union will allow for adjustment of the fitting in the event of leakage.
