The 10 X 2.5 Pleated Polyester Replacement Filter (1 micron) is one of the best aftermarket filters on the market today. This easy to install filter sized 10 x 2.5 inches is a pleated polyester filter with cellulose polyester components. Typically pleated polyester filters are great for filtering well water, however due to the added cellulose, it is not recommended for use with well water. Be sure to only use this filter with chlorinated water supplies, as any bacteria present in well water will eat away at the cellulose media, in turn degrading the quality of the filter. In addition the polypropylene core adds extra strength to the integrity of the filter. Change this filter out once every six months for best results. If you have significant sediment issues in your water the pleated material allows a greater dirt holding capacity.
